Antique Embroidered Sacred Heart Scapular

This antique scapular was hand embroidered in silk threads by the nuns of the convents of Lima-Peru cloister. These were delivered to the important people of the clergy and were regarded as second-class relics, also known as, "detentes." This scapular dates to the 1800s.

Rare Victorian Male Hand Swivel Clasp Long Guard Slide Chain

Newly listed to Metal Corset II is this very rare, very unique gold filled Victorian long guard slide chain with a hand grasping a swivel clasp that opens sideways (I believe called a slice).

I have never seen another like it and probably never will again. This hand is clearly a male's hand, versus all the females out there which makes it a one of a kind and very rare piece.

The amazing detail right down to the fingernails is truly spectacular!

Costly Thy Habit As Thy Purse Can Buy

"Costly Thy Habit As Thy Purse Can Buy" by William Shakespeare, "Hamlet," Act I, Scene iii.

No, you're not seeing things. Yes, you've seen this before. This assemblage purse necklace was featured in my Etsy shop, Metal Corset, but I've recently added an Art Nouveau locket remnant and gold tone collar locket chain.

So it is now newly relisted to Metal Corset, revamped and better than before. It features an antique Art Nouveau gunmetal purse in repousse design and a remnant of an Art Nouveau gold filled paste locket.

The gold filled locket remnant features a beautiful woman's face with flowing hair underscored with a row of paste stones very indicative of the Art Nouveau movement.

The necklace is hand wired, by moi, including but not limited to, antique filigree bead capped faux pearls, antique sterling filigree beads, crystal rondelles, antique gold tone metal collar locket and a vial filled with watch parts connected to a soldered and drilled antique Frozen Charlotte doll arm.

The closure is a hand forged sterling silver clasp.

Purse measures 3" x 2". Perfect size for a driver's license or a few dollars.

ANTIQUE FLAMING SACRED HEART MILAGRO EX VOTO

Recent to my collection is this RARE antique Flaming Sacred Heart milagro ex voto. I've never seen another like it, so when I saw it for the first time, I had to have it! Because of its rarity, it is worthy of reproducing into pewter. It's a process I've not yet explored, but will soon embark, so keep a weathered eye on Metal Corset II for its debut.
