WAXING POETIC III

I've taken an antique porcelain doll head and soldered various antique rhinestone components to it.

Then I suspended an Art Deco rhinestone watch pendant and attached an Art Deco rose camphor glass chain to make it into a assemblage necklace.

I love the way it turned out.  I hope you do as well....

Victorian Pinchbeck Mourning Locket Pendant with Plaited Hair Window and Turquoise

I have a real thing for these beautiful mourning locket pendants. I especially love this one because of the way the turquoise cabochons resembles a nest of robin eggs.

The mourning window containing the plaited hair is usually from a deceased loved one. However, sometimes these locket pendants were used to memorialize the living. Hard to tell.

This heart shaped mourning pendant locket in Pinchbeck is set with 3 genuine carved turquoise cabochons. Beautifully engraved in a open floral pattern. Even the loop fitting is ornately engraved.

The mourning window could be carefully removed if desired so as to replace contents within.
