Antique Sterling Silver Flaming Heart Reliquary Ex Voto

(SOLD)
From France, an AUTHENTIC, 1800s, sterling silver, fully hallmarked, antique Flaming Sacred Heart reliquary ex voto.

These solid sterling silver ex votos are becoming harder and harder to find.

Beautifully engraved with an "M" for Maria, Marion, Mary or Marie and cross with foliage fronds.

Hinged to open allowing you to place a message of devotion inside.

Ex voto reliquaries often held a message of devotion or prayer inside and were pinned to a Saint in a house of worship.

Hallmarked:  Depose (French for Patented) and a Boar's head (late 1800s).

Measures approximately 2" x 1.19".

Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Ave Maria Rosary

(SOLD)
Newly listed to Metal Corset II is this antique Art Nouveau or Art Deco sterling silver 5-decades rosary featuring solid sterling silver Ave and Pater beads, a sterling silver filigree Ave Maria rosary center and a sterling silver filigree crucifix. It is very rare to find an antique rosary center with a 2 sided 3-dimensional crown above the letters, "A and M," for Ave Maria. Stamped .925 on the rear of crucifix. Measures 18.5" in length.

ESPIRITU SANTOS EARRINGS

These two beautiful antique sterling silver Saint Esprit doves were listed to Metal Corset II but expired, so I turned them into earrings.

The one on the left is an antique Georgian sterling silver paste dove with round garnet (?) cabochon eyes, and the one on the right, an antique Victorian sterling paste dove.

Both were brooches once but have now been converted into one of a kind earrings.

Both the dove and cross hang from a hand forged sterling silver earring hook.

Flaming Sacred Heart Ex Voto Vessel and Art Deco Sterling Silver Marcasite Locket Assemblage Necklace

(SOLD)

My newest assemblage jewelry piece and quite a lot of fun to make. I found a stunning Art Deco sterling silver and marcasite watch pendant and used it to embellish a pewter flaming sacred heart ex voto vessel. The Christ Child assemblage inside was created from an antique lace holy card. The flame top of the vessel unscrews so a message of devotion can be placed inside. Three foil backed paste chatons are placed inside the locket to give movement. It hangs from a 15" silver plated rolo chain.

Art Deco Sterling Silver Saint Esprit Dove

This is one beautiful piece. It's an Art Deco sterling silver paste brooch measuring 2 3/8" x 2". Such a stunning bird with amazing detail. I have already created in my mind's eye an assemblage I will be using it in. Keep a weathered eye on Metal Corset for its debut.

THY NAME BE HALLOWED

(SOLD)

My newest religious piece completed yesterday. This flaming sacred heart ex voto locket has been adorned with a large antique rhinestone crown. Inside the locket is an assemblage of Mary and the babe Jesus from an antique lace holy card. The babe Jesus wears a rare antique rhinestone crown. The front door of this locket is carved with, "A and M," for Ave Maria. This hangs from an antique sterling silver filigree bead necklace.
