Sainte Jeanne D'Arc

I have always had a thing for Joan of Arc ever since I can remember. When I was 7, I watched an old black and white movie on the television of Joan of Arc played by Ingrid Bergman. This movie captivated me because a woman so young died so tragically for her unrelenting beliefs. In the end, I cried my eyes out when she burned at the stake and I was stunned to learn this was a true story.

In commemoration of her, I created an assemblage necklace in her name. An antique Victorian repousse match safe vesta is combined with 2 art deco paste brooches. One a crown, the other a fleur de lis. The obverse has an antique French Sainte Jeanne D'Arc medal decorated with a fleur de lis. It suspends from an Art Deco silver filigree bead necklace. You can find it at my Etsy shop, Metal Corset.

Flaming Sacred Heart Ex Voto Vessel and Art Deco Sterling Silver Marcasite Locket Assemblage Necklace

(SOLD)

My newest assemblage jewelry piece and quite a lot of fun to make. I found a stunning Art Deco sterling silver and marcasite watch pendant and used it to embellish a pewter flaming sacred heart ex voto vessel. The Christ Child assemblage inside was created from an antique lace holy card. The flame top of the vessel unscrews so a message of devotion can be placed inside. Three foil backed paste chatons are placed inside the locket to give movement. It hangs from a 15" silver plated rolo chain.

THY NAME BE HALLOWED

(SOLD)

My newest religious piece completed yesterday. This flaming sacred heart ex voto locket has been adorned with a large antique rhinestone crown. Inside the locket is an assemblage of Mary and the babe Jesus from an antique lace holy card. The babe Jesus wears a rare antique rhinestone crown. The front door of this locket is carved with, "A and M," for Ave Maria. This hangs from an antique sterling silver filigree bead necklace.

Tiny Antique Holy Water Bottle And Filigree Ball Assemblage Necklace

See my newly listed assemblage necklace at http://www.etsy.com/shop/metalcorset?ref=si_shop

This one of a kind assemblage necklace was created by combining a tiny antique Holy water bottle with a crown top and an image of Ave Maria from an antique lace Holy card.

Inside the bottle are foil back paste chaton rhinestones and vintage faux pearls.

I hung it from an antique silver plated filigree ball necklace long enough to slip over the head.

The front of the antique Holy water bottle has a cross and the words, "Holy, Water," in raised glass.

It's hard to photograph but the image is much clearer and crisper in person.

The antique Holy water bottle including crown measures: 3.25".
