MORE RELIGIOUS ASSEMBLAGE PIECES

I truly love collecting antique items and creating beautiful assemblage jewelry with them. I can't think of a better hobby. You can find my creations at my Etsy Shop, Metal Corset.

Flaming Sacred Heart Ex Voto Reliquary and Antique Sterling Silver Filigree Rosary Necklace
(SOLD)
Ave Maria Earrings
(SOLD)

What Child Is This (Antique Sterling Silver Filigree Cross with Art Deco Paste Locket and Victorian Book Chain)

(SOLD)

Crowned Ave Maria Necklace
(SOLD)

So pretty is Ave Maria from an antique lace holy card behind mica. She is framed by a vintage musi Victorian revival shoe buckle. Ave Maria is adorned with a large antique rhinestone crown with an antique Art Deco paste dangle. All this hangs delicately from a 20.5" vintage Victorian revival book chain.

19th CENTURY FLAMING HEART RELIQUARY LOCKET

I found the most amazing 19th century flaming heart ex voto reliquary. It is silver gilt and has a cross and "M" for Mary. It now lives in my Etsy shop Metal Corset II. It comes all the way from the Netherlands, however, I believe it originated in France. These reliquaries are very rare and highly collectible. I'm almost considering keeping it for my own collection. I love it!

1800's FLAMING SACRED HEART RELIQUARY

I love this antique flaming sacred heart reliquary. These are very rare and hard to find and I am happy to say, I own this one. It has 89 hand cut paste rhinestones in an open back setting. The inside is lined with purple velvet. Gorgeous piece.

Ex Voto Assemblage Jewelry

Sorry, it has been so long since my last post, but I sort of took a long hiatus.

I've created many new art wearables for my Etsy shop and have loved finding the treasures to upcycle into beautiful jewelry. You can find them at my Etsy shop Metal Corset.

THINGS THAT HAVE SOLD ON ETSY TO DATE

I have to admit that I'm very pleased with the outcome of items sold on Metal Corset, my shop at Etsy.com.

Metal Corset II is doing very well too and has surpassed Metal Corset in supplies sold as opposed to OOAK assemblage/mixed media/altered art.

Things that have sold through Metal Corset to date are as follows:

ORNIE-MENTS

After making several vintage reproduction doll heads I offered them in my Etsy Shop, but, they weren't such a big hit, soooo, I used them to make some assemblage dolls and named them, "Ornie-ments." I almost named them, "Poquito de Todos," which means a little of everything, considering they just about used up all my supplies. Each Ornie has a different look and were a lot of fun to make. I want to send them to Art Doll Quarterly and see if they make "Show and Tell." But I think I'll put them in my shop instead. I finally decided to use wire to hang them like ornaments.

STEAMPUNK NECKLACE

(SOLD)

I listed another item in my Etsy shop today. It's called, "Steampunk Necklace." I used a haunting image of a young dapper Victorian man set in resin in a vintage watch movement. I also soldered a vintage binding doll arm with an O-ring to dangle below. The piece hangs on a 23" aged ball chain.

MYSTERIOUS

I listed another dragonfly series assemblage necklace to my Etsy shop. The resin head is cast from a mold of an authentic vintage German doll head. I'm finding these reproduction doll heads to be quite versatile in the creating process.
