GEORGIAN STUART CRYSTAL MEMENTO MORI ENAMELED SKULL AND CROSSBONES MOURNING RING

Here's a fine example of an early Georgian Memento Mori skull and crossbones mourning ring.

Under a fully faceted rose cut Stuart crystal is a remarkably detailed enameled skull and crossbones device set upon a bed of blonde plaited hair. It is flanked by two gold cipher wire initials.

The enameled acanthus (symbolizes mourning) shoulders still retain most of their enameling as does the radiant burst design to the rear.
